FAQ

Where can I use Kwik-Floor panels?
Kwik-Floor panels can be used for instant flooring on marine docks, boardwalks, beach patios, attic spaces, garge rafters and more. Panels are designed to fit on 2x4 framing spaced at 16" or 24" on center. Use indoors or outdoors.

Why are the panels slotted?
The panels are slotted for ventilation and to allow liquids to pass through.

How do I connect the panels?
Connect four 1x4 panels together using Connecting Clips. These are to be located at panel joints approximately 12" from the edge. The resulting piece flexes somewhat when handling, but is secure upon installation. The clips maintain correct panel spacing, increase overall strength and reduce deflection on loading.

How does the Kwik-Floor decking stay in place?
It depends on the application. For permanent decking, screw panels with standard deck screws. Panels can also be inter-connected into a continuous decking "sheet" by installing Connecting Clips between panels. For removable drop-in panel applications, make 4x4 sections for easy handling. Alternate means of securing Kwik-Floor panels include Deck Lockers, plastic cable ties and ribbed large-head nails. Flat Bottom panels must be fastened when used on framing to prevent movement and unsafe conditions.

How do I avoid slipping on the Kwik-Floor decking when it is wet?
Kwik-Floor panels have a non-skid top surface which is easy on the feet.

Do Kwik-Floor panels get hot?
Kwik-Floor panels will warm but will not get too hot due to the neutral color.

How long do Kwik-Floor panels last?
Dock-Top panels come with a manufacturer's 7 year limited warranty. With proper maintenance (winter storage), Dock-Top panels can last 15-20 years when used outdoors. Product life in outdoor applications is somewhat relative to sunlight exposure. Panels do not degrade when used for indoor applications.

How do I keep the panels from blowing off in outdoor applications?
Kwik-Floor sections stay in place because of the deep ribs. These extend down past the support locations to help keep panels in place. The slotted design on the panels help prevent uplift from the wind. For extra windy locations or to prevent minor shifting, secure panels to framing with screws, plastic cable ties or Deck Lockers.
